Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, and Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, His Excellency Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority and a member of the Executive Council today officially inaugurated Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2014, the fastest growing general aviation exhibition in the region. H.E. toured the exhibition and visited a number of aircraft exhibiting companies, to view the latest trends and innovations in the general aviation industry.

A new Helicopter maintenance and spare parts company (AWAS) was formed in a partnership between Abu Dhabi Aviation; the region leading specialized Helicopter company, and AgustaWestland; the world leading Helicopter designing and manufacturing company.

Al Bateen Executive Airport, the dedicated business aviation airport of Abu Dhabi Airports, today revealed the names of the prestigious sponsors for Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2014.

Al Bateen Executive Airport, the dedicated business aviation airport of Abu Dhabi Airports, witnessed an 18% increase in visiting aircraft traffic and 6% increase in commercial aircraft traffic for 2013, compared to 2012.

Abu Dhabi Airports will conduct a full scale emergency exercise at Al Bateen Executive Airport on 22nd January 2014, in accordance with Civil Aviation Regulations issued by the General Civil Aviation Authority, and in compliance with standards and recommendations as stipulated by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Falcon Aviation Services (FAS) will be a Diamond Sponsor for the Abu Dhabi Air Expo taking place from 25th-27th February 2014. This third consecutive Expo will be held at Al Bateen Executive Airport, Abu Dhabi Airports’ dedicated business airport.

Following the success of Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2013, which was held at Al Bateen Executive Airport earlier this year, Abu Dhabi Airports will be hosting the general aviation exhibition for the third consecutive year between 25th-27th February 2014 at its dedicated business airport.

Set to be the standout sporting event of the year, the 2013 ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX takes place from 1-3 November at Yas Marina Circuit, less than 20 minutes by road from Al Bateen Airport. Al Bateen Executive Airport, announced that its Fixed Based Operator (FBO) facility DhabiJet was ranked second best in the EMEA Region by the prestigious European Business Air News (EBAN) magazine’s FBO Survey 2013.

Al Bateen Executive Airport, the dedicated business aviation airport of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), released today its traffic performance for the first half of 2012. The traffic report revealed a strong +30% increase in visiting aircraft movements to the executive airport over the period between January and June 2012 compared with the same period in 2011, to register in total 1,100 visiting flights during those 6 months.

During its participation at the annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) being held in Geneva from 14th to 16th May, Al Bateen Executive Airport announced the completion of refurbishment works for 3 hangars at its facilities in Abu Dhabi. The refurbishment works include structural, mechanical and floor works; as well as upgraded back-office and workshop facilities.
